Stars!

We got to see one of my fave bands this weekend, Stars. I think we're  realizing how old we are when we complain about standing for more than 2 hours, how loud it is, the smoke, etc. But, they played tons of songs, all my faves, and we had fun with all the young kids!

Atl: Fall Time

I got to bum an ATL trip off my boss lady last minute, for a weekend up north with some faves. Here's some highlights (again, filled with niece & nephews, who I could make a whole blog about in itself obvi).

We had some dutch monkey donuts with the babez

George loves donuts.

I went on a little stroll, and stumbled upon these. I wish FL had real trees like this so I didn't have to buy these kind of things at the store.

Saturday night sister date, with our boyf johnny "with an h" (google him, he said to). This was such a fun night, watching people make our pizza, fighting over our seats, girls (mostly women) swooning over a 9 year old- normal. Aside from that, the pizza was amazing, (we finished the whole thing), byob'd, met some interesting people, and had some great convo with strangers. Check it out here and check him out here.

food trucks: orlando

food trucks: orlando

As promised, here is a small review of some food trucks we have experienced. Orlando is pretty small, so they are pretty easy to stumble upon. And they are prob the kewlest thing going right now, since we're in the south (get trendy things last).

Anyways, we hit up one of the last couple food truck bazaar deals and we tried a few new trucks. Specifically a portobello sandwich with corn salad from Travelling Gourmet & a french onion grilled cheese from the Treehouse Truck, (also a pumpkin cream cookie, not pictured from Batter Bowl). Nothing too crazy, but the fact we can split everything, it's like fast food but better and everything just tastes better & different. So, drool:

Portebello

french onion grilled cheese

(food in my teeth & I don't even care)

Not the most photogenic food, but he person on the other hand..

why her?

This has been my last completed read. Now that school has started, I usually don't want to think and look at words for fun unfortunately. But if you are a married girl or Mother-in-law, (even though I'd recommend for engaged/almost engaged girls too), this is a fun/helpful read, addressing ways to have a good & healthy relationship with your Mother/Daughter-in-law. This is my personal opinion obviously, but read more about it and buy it for yourself for only $10.00, here!

Quick Background:
My pastors wife (+ sister-in-law's) wrote this alongside their Mother-in-law. One side of the book is the daughter-in-law's point of view, the others is the Mother-in-laws. It is a beautiful picture of what God desires for this unique relationship, what each of our specific roles are & the power of consistent prayer.

painted pumpkins

Chalkboard Pumpkins

I have a serious addiction to chalkboard paint. I saw these chalkboard pumpkins on Real Simple, and new I had to try them out. Good thing I have mom's who let me borrow their kids so I can practice my kid-ish crafts with them. Even if they didn't, I would tots do this for myself. I love an excuse to doodle & write messages all over something- why not be festive and make it a pumpkin? And the best part, it's pretty much effortless (the only crafts I really enjoy). So here you go.
